Matt Bergdorf

Matthew Bergdorf completed his Bachelor’s Degree from California State University Fullerton with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning. At CSUF he worked with Center for Sport Performance and did pre-season wingate testing for the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings. He finished his Master’s of Arts in Sport Coaching from the University of Denver under the guidance of Dr. Brian Gearity. He boasts internships from Pepperdine University, CSUF, the NSCA HQ, and Velocity. He was a Graduate Assistant at the University of Wisconsin River Falls where he was responsible for Men’s Hockey, Women’s Soccer, Women’s Basketball and assisted with Football and Track.

Matt caught the eye of the NHL Florida Panthers where he was accepted the Head of Athletic Performance position. After one full season he moved back to California to work on Sports Science training where he worked with elite youth level athletes in the sports of Lacrosse, Baseball, basketball and Volleyball.

He is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association with his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with Distinction (*D) and as a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC). He holds the USA Weightlifting Certification, FMS, Eleiko Strength Coach Certified, and is SafeSport and USADA certified. He continues to work on obtaining his Level 2 with USA Weightlifting and Powerlifting as well as the Precision Nutrition Certification.

Liam Cassidy

Sports Performance Coach

Liam, an Irish native earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Sport and Exercise Sciences from the University of Limerick, Ireland. He is also an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, CPR & AED certified and a recognised Precision Nutrition Level 1 coach.

Liam recently moved from Ireland with a keen interest in biomechanics and injury rehabilitation. He has a range of experience in elite performance, working with professional rugby, tennis, cricket, soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball and his native Irish sports Gaelic football and Hurling.

Brian played D1 hockey for Lake Superior State University before receiving a Master of Science in Sports Administration, a Bachelor’s of science in business administration and further building his career as a sports performance coach by getting his NASM Certified Personal Trainer Certificate, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and becoming a Certified Nutrition Coach.

Tim Herkenhoff

Tim is originally from St. Cloud, Minnesota went on to play College Football for S.C.S.U. and later received his National Federation Personal Trainer Certificate and works with all athletes on becoming better athletes. 

Gasper Kopitar

Gasper was born and raised in Jesenice, Slovenia until he was 15 years old before moving to Los Angeles for his Brothers NHL career and to train professionally in hockey. Gasper went on to play for the WHL Portland Winterhawks and then moved to the USHL Des Monies Buccaneers followed by Mora IK Allavenskan Sweden league while also playing for the Slovenian men’s National team in the Olympic Qualifiers and World Championship. Gasper finished his career with 4 years in the ECHL and is now a full time stick skills coach.

Brandon Talsma

Sports Performance Coach

Brandon has been coaching professional athletes for the last 4 years here in Los Angeles.
He has worked with athletes from the MLS, MLB, NBA, NHL, USTA, Motocross, BMX, Professional Rugby, waterpolo, skateboarders, surfers, swimmers, skiers and Snowboarders. 
He also recently has traveled the world and lived in China as the strength and conditioning coach for the Chinese Olympic Slopestyle Ski team and most recently he was the strength coach for medalists on the Chinese Olympic swim team.

Aaron Sawelson

Sports Performance Coach

Aaron received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from California Polytechnic State University and is also credited with the completion of numerous continuing education certification from nationally recognized institutions including NSCA-CSCS, ACSM-CPT, FMS, USAW-Sports Performance Coach, CFSC-Levels 1 & 2 and AHA Basic Life Support.

Aaron has amassed a wealth of experience in the field of sports performance working with athletes such as US Olympians, Professional athletes, competitive youth and for anyone looking to just live an overall healthier life. In addition to working with all fitness levels and ages, he is also experienced in sports rehabilitation from injuries and surgeries.

Edthel Lugo

Sports Performance Coach

Edthel graduated with a Kinesiology Degree with an emphasis in Exercise and Fitness from San Jose State University. As a former collegiate athlete, Edthel has experience with sports performance as an athlete and as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach. She has worked with youth and collegiate athletes in various sports such as basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, football and volleyball. She also has experience in general personal training, small groups, and team setting.

Edthel is currently a Sports Performance intern for the UCLA Women’s Basketball team.
